Our history in working with production and validation of proteins sets the stage for consultation with customers in helping set successful strategies for studying their proteins of interest. Our experience can help to "get it right the first time".
- Design of cDNA Constructs: Many factors come into play in selecting the cDNA for expression and we have a vast experience in designing a variety of cDNAs for fusion partner expression, and with purification tags to facilitate downstream isolation of the protein in question.
- Expression System: The staff at Proteos has experience with E. Coli, Baculovirus, and mammalian cell systems for recombinant expression of proteins, and can consult with respect to the proper choice for successful expression and production. We have special skills in recovery of folded and biologically active proteins from bacterial inclusion bodies and in creating stably expressing mammalian cell lines.
- Purification Protocols: Our staff includes scientists with extensive experience in protein purification using both conventional and novel approaches. We have an excellent record of success in producing proteins that yield high-resolution x-ray structures.
- Assays: Our experience in producing a variety of enzymes as therapeutic targets provides the basis for consultation in assay design and implementation either for routine validation of purity or for high-throughput screening.
