Martin R. Deibel, Jr., Ph.D.
Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Deibel received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Ohio State University, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship and research assistant professorship at the University of Kentucky in the Department of Biochemistry. His industrial experience includes 19 years at Upjohn/Pharmacia in Kalamazoo in leading team efforts in production, purification, and assay development of key target proteins in a number of therapeutic areas. His recent experience includes 7 years as Head of Protein Purification at Proteos, Inc. Dr. Deibel lists over 75 peer reviewed papers in protein science.

Holly Kehoe
Controller

Mrs. Kehoe manages Proteos' finances. She brings 18 years of accounting experience working with small businesses. Mrs. Kehoe is a graduate of Western Michigan University.

Lindsey Gottler, Ph.D.
Lead Scientist, Biochemistry

Dr. Gottler received her Ph.D in chemistry at the University of Michigan. She then completed a post doctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan in biophysical chemistry. Her research experience includes protein design and engineering of recombinant and synthetically produced proteins and peptides, protein purification, chemical modification of biomolecules, and biophysical analysis of proteins and peptides.

Jason Haineault
Lead Scientist, Cell Biology

Mr. Haineault received his Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska where he studied production of antimicrobial peptides. Mr. Haineault joined Proteos in 2006. His research experience includes cellular expression systems and protein purification methods used for the production of recombinant proteins. Mr. Haineault specializes in the expression of recombinant proteins in mammalian, insect and bacterial expression systems.

Mary Shuck
Lead Scientist, Cell Biology

Ms. Shuck spent 25 years as a Discovery Research Scientist in the pharmaceutical industry prior to joining Proteos in 2009. Her work focused on the identification and in vitro pharmacology of a broad range of drug targets, including: receptors, ion channels, transporters, enzymes and second messengers. She has expertise in all aspects of cell and molecular biology, with focus on reagent provision and cell-based assay development designed to facilitate lead identification and define mechanism of action. She is a graduate of Bethel College in McKenzie, TN.
